CHILDREN OBJECTIVE: INTERACTION, TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATIVE MATERIALS 6 NEW INCREDIBLE PRODUCTS REALIZED BY EUROPEAN DESIGNERS FOR THE LITTLE ONES

Thanks to the WORTH Partnership Project, designers from all over Europe have been able to develop in the largest virtual incubator in the world dedicated to creativity six new products for children that exploit innovative production techniques, the properties of new materials and information technology

Milan, 18th August 2020 – Socks “to be read” to have fun with thanks to augmented reality, soft and interactive puppets to help children activate stimulation of senses and develop social awareness, innovative toys between electronics and textile engineering, experiential and smart clothes for the little ones or garments specifically designed to help premature babies and their parents: these are just some of the incredible products made by the most innovative European minds that have made available their know-how and creativity to create some ad-hoc projects for children within the WORTH Partnership Project, a project funded by the European Commission.

“Childhood is increasingly a privileged target for businesses that recognize children as tomorrow’s consumers, as well as interlocutors who can already influence family choices”, underlines Korinna Mollá , coordinator of the implementing team of WORTH Partnership Project, which adds “the spread of digital devices, the evolution of technology in all fields (including textiles), together with the increased interactivity are redefining the relationship between learning, information and knowledge. With the advent of the digital revolution and the Internet of Things, the interest and concrete value-adding potential for such materials and products has grown dramatically, which has stimulated designers to reinterpret children’s products.”

With 152 selected projects involving 345 partners from 34 EU-COSME associated countries – from France to Germany, Spain, UK, Italy, The Netherlands, Slovenia, Moldova, Estonia, Sweden, Finland, Montenegro, Serbia, etc – WORTH Partnership Project is the Europe’s largest creative incubator: this European Commission project is a unique laboratory where European designers can experience the advantages offered by transnational collaborations and by the participation in an internal market of over 500 million people.
