COVID-19 forced adaptation for all of us and led to many changes, also in the design world. Many ideas took advantage of the relative safety offered by the outdoor spaces giving life to alternative and original solutions that we believe are destined to succeed.
An effective example of how that’s happening is the creation by Alpenglobe, a company based in Utah, in partnership with Insight Exhibits of polycarbonate spheres part stargazing observatory, part gondola carriage equipped with tables and benches where customers can meet and dine safely without sacrificing comfort.
These innovative private dining shelters – designed with panoramic seating for up to eight – are the best in class: they, for example, can be outfitted with various options such as infrared heating and independent sound systems. The applications are multiple: from private dining events to offsite meeting spaces.
What we learned? That design is resilient and can help us to regain a new normality!
