Together the pair is developing a Smart Life Jacket intended for watersports, the jacket will improve communication, comfort, and safety for water sports lovers. Featuring a GPS synchronized SOS button, lighting, heating and solar rechargeable systems. We interviewed the pair about how they have responded to technological advancements that will progress society in regards to health and safety.

What led you to your project idea?
Vulpés: Many people in the northern hemisphere suffer from cold. With integrated high-tech components into the clothing items, we aim to solve this issue.
GoZone: My business and the product gap in the market.

What do you think the future trends are?
Vulpés: a. interoperable, connected smart apparel, b. individualization and customization c. health & safety
GoZone: The future will be completely internet connected

Why is technology important for design?
Vulpés: Both aspects are essential for an excellent product. Technology, however, often has certain limitations when it comes to implementation of new design elements. That is why technology backbone is vital for implementation of design aspects that do not only contribute to a better appearance but also improve the user experience with the product.
