GENEVIEVE LEVIVIER’S DESIGNS ADMIRED BY THE KING AND QUEEN OF BELGIUM

We would like to share some amazing news regarding WORTH 1st call winner Geneviève Levivier of A+Z Design whose Eggshell Tapestries were chosen to be a part of the new “Brabant Wallon Talent 2018” and was admired by the king and queen of Belgium.

The event was held at the Château de Jodoigne, the new “Talents du Brabant Wallon”, where Geneviève’s work was exhibited and was presented during the official launch of the event.

Geneviève personally met their Majesties Queen Mathilde and King Philippe of Belgium, in attendance were also Belgian Sovereigns, the Governor of Brabant Wallon Province and the aldermen.

Geneviève states ‘Her Majesty Queen Mathilde was particularly sensitive to the innovative techniques of craftsmanship and sustainable economy used in my textile work, whether for tapestries or stoles in limited series. His Majesty King Philip also appreciated the Eggshell circles that he found particularly refined. What an unforgettable encounter!’

Her work will also be exhibited during the Milan Design Week 2019 in the exhibition ‘Belgium is Design’ organized by WBDM / MAD/ Flanders DC, with her new innovation utilising wood. She will also be having an upcoming solo exhibition this spring.
