SMART X: EUROPEAN  SMART TEXTILES ACCELERATOR

SmartX – the European Smart Textiles Accelerator will be funding European smart textile innovators to help establish an end-to-end smart textile manufacturing value chain in Europe and help drive promising prototypes faster to market.

Building a strong European smart textiles innovation community will be the underlying long term objective of the Programme, to foster interaction and collaboration between industry, researchers, technology developers and end-market players. A series of focused workshops will take place throughout the EU and allow smart textiles professionals to gain and share advanced knowledge and state-of-the-art technological solutions. During the 3-year programme 3 open calls for funding will help support up to 40 individual projects with a total budget of €2.4 million. Successful applicants can receive a maximum of € 60,000 per company + up to 200 coaching hours by members of the SmartX consortium + dissemination support. The project must be implemented within 10-12 months. The first call is currently open, closing at the end of Feb. 2020.

What SmartX is looking for

Start-Up’s or SME’s from EU or H2020 associate members working with textiles and electronics projects and with TRLs higher than 6 who are facing manufacturing, end market piloting or scale-up challenges.  Are you feeling identified or do you know a company that fits this description?
