WOMEN THAT CHANGED FASHION: MIUCCIA PRADA

WOMEN THAT CHANGED FASHION: MIUCCIA PRADA

Maybe you already heard that name: Miuccia Prada. She is one of the most influential women in the fashion world and founder of the fashion brand Miu Miu.

Miuccia was Luisa Prada daughter from whom she’s inherited the family’ company, founded by her grandfather Mario, Prada. The rest is history, because she turned it into an iconic fashion brand, known all over the world. The turning point? In 1985 she designed a line of backpacks made of a special type of nylon that became an iconic it-bag. Thanks to her work, the Prada stile began over the years a statement built on creative & intellectual freedom: her collections created the style narrative of a woman capable of being authentically herself.

Throughout her career, Miuccia Prada has been honoured with important awards that rewarded her innovative vision and her contribution to international fashion. In 1995 she also turned to patron of the arts by founding with her husband the Fondazione Prada.
