WORTH is extremely inspired by the work of Fashion Revolution as we believe and support their mission which brings together elements that are crucial to the WORTH Partnership Project.
The Fashion Revolution is described as a movement within the design industry that celebrates both the positives of fashion while also highlighting faults within the industry and raising awareness to resolve the most pressing issues. They aim to show that change is possible and encourage those who are on a journey to create a more ethical and sustainable future for fashion.
They often call themselves “pro-fashion protesters” because they love fashion and want to see it become a force for good. They are extremely bold and action-based with a strong aim to confront industry issues in a positive way without singling out individual companies, understanding that the issues go far beyond just one. We are extremely inspired by their aim, which is to unite people and organisations to work together towards radically changing the way clothes are sourced, produced and consumed, so that clothing is made in a safe, clean and fair way.
They believe that collaborating across the whole value chain — from farmer to consumer — is the only way to transform the industry. Globaly the organization partakes and hosts events to promote their message and to inform the public about issues that are negatively impacting not just the creative industry, but the world as a whole. One of their prominent stances on the public questioning the origins of what we wear with the #whomademyclothes campaign, which you can find out about through their video here.
