WORTH INTRODUCES THE NEW AMBASSADOR MEMBERS

WORTH is pleased to introduce the next group of amazing ambassadors to join the WORTH Partnership Project team. The individuals selected to assist the project winners are all highly influential in their area of expertise. WORTH can now offer the absolute best professional assistance to the Partnership candidates through the assistance of creative figures that support through their own personal experiences within the industry.

Along with the Steering board members, mentors and existing ambassador members, we are proud to introduce:

Maria Vytinidou: Fashion Business Incubator ‘The Fashion Gate’ & ‘Athensfashionclub’ Founder

Maria is a Chemist-Designer-Fashion Entrepreneur, distinguished by Vogue Italia for her entrepreneurship, starting her career as a marketing executive at a multinational company and continued as a Fashion Designer by creating Innovative Wearable Technology and Ready-to-wear Luxury Collections with the label ‘Μaria Vytinidou Luxury Design Brand’. She is the founder of ‘AthensFashionclub’, a leading school in Fashion & Business and the creator of ‘The Fashion Gate’ Fashion Incubator, providing business growth, consulting and mentoring to emerging designers and fashion start-ups. The British Council: The UK’s International Organisation for Cultural Relations and Educational Opportunities

In 2016 the British Council launched a sustainable fashion programme aimed at fostering the exchange of good practices among creative minds in Europe. The programme has been developed in France, Greece, Spain and the UK, around three strands. First, workshops and mentoring sessions to train designers and to find future leaders of the industry. Second, awareness raising, achieved by organising lectures, showcases and meetings in order to allow the general audience to have a better understanding of the sustainable fashion sector. Third, the programme has fostered the creation of a fashion network developed through a number of networking events across Europe. So far 150 designers have participated in the programme. Audrone Drungilaite: Executive Director of The Lithuanian Design Forum

Audrone has been interested in design even after launching a career in credit management, she couldn’t leave her love of design behind and, after studies in France, she resolved to make it her future. She won the Lithuanian Design Award in and since 2014 she has been chief executive of the Lithuanian Design Forum (LDF). Audrone is also responsible for the management of Design Week Lithuania, the biggest design festival in the Baltics. A graduate of Vilnius Academy of Arts with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design and a Master’s in Cultural Management and Politics, Audrone is an enthusiastic promoter of Lithuanian design around the world – and sometimes curates Lithuanian design exhibitions abroad. Hanna-Kaisa Alanen: Designer, Doctoral Candidate and Ornamo Board Member

Hanna-Kaisa is an experienced design professional with over 20 years in the industry, a profound knowledge in new product design and conceptual branding both in fashion and home segments in the consumer goods industry. Currently, Hanna-Kaisa conducts PhD studies in Cognitive Science at the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Jyväskylä. Her mission is to better understand the user experience (UX) in the fashion context as well as to bring design practices and academics closer to each other. Hanna-Kaisa continues as a member of the Board of Ornamo Art and Design Finland and is setting up an interest group that brings together fashion and textile designers in particular, with the aim of providing inspirational and stimulating cross-border debates.
