The message of the project
The project aims to demonstrate that sustainable, zero-waste fashion can become the new normal in the industry. The fashion world generates a significant amount of waste due to inefficient manufacturing processes and overstocking. Currently, zero-waste garments are considered an exception within the industry and an eccentric choice by many consumers. This project sets out to educate end consumers, proving that sustainable fashion can meet the standards of elegant, timeless design without contributing to waste. The solution leverages Alina Cernatescu's expertise in turning waste fabrics into intricate embroidery and focuses on selling garments on demand to avoid overproduction.
What next?
The ultimate goal is to develop a sustainable business model that incorporates zero-waste practices into every future collection.
