Atypica Mod04

Made in Italy craftsmanship meets Haratech technology to create hybrid shoes with 3D-printed uppers, combining hard and soft areas in a single material.

Atypica Mod04

The message of the project

The project aims to combine craftsmanship with new technology to produce high-quality artisanal shoes. It values the heritage of craftsmanship, which can be enriched through the integration of innovative technologies such as 3D printing.

The idea behind the project

The Atypica project originated from the illustration by Bernard Pfrim, which highlights that the anatomy of human feet is not symmetrical, while most women's shoes are designed symmetrically. Atypica shoes are designed to respect the natural shape of women's feet without causing deformation. Haratech technology enables the printing of the shoe upper using a single material. Typically, the upper combines various materials like leather, fabrics, and adhesives; however, this process is simplified with a mono-material piece made up of both soft and rigid components.

What next?

Following participation in WORTH, the goal is to produce shoes in various sizes for retail availability. The communication plan developed during the WORTH project will be prioritized to achieve optimal sales results. It will focus on hand-sewing techniques and encourage individuals to express their creativity while crafting luxury, personalized garments. The project's objectives extend beyond the initial creation of garments; it aims to share knowledge applicable to future home-sewing projects.
