FEEL MORE KNITWEAR: A CONTEMPORARY ACTIVE WEAR WITH INTEGRATED KNITTED SENSORS OF BIOMETRIC DATA
How to develop a fashion collection of garments able to measure our sensations and emotions?
Feel More Knitwear is a contemporary active-wear sweater with integrated knitted sensors of biometric data, able to decode in physical and emotional health evaluation in sports fashion, health and wellness applications.
Biometric sensors have been embedded into the knitwear structure, together with the use of natural yarns.
This led to a fully workable, easy to wear and washable prototype that delivers continuous monitoring of biodata, accessible to integrate in a productive-effective way into a whole knitwear collection, also accessible to a wider audience.
This prototype is a revolution in the knitwear manufacturing process and design, materials sustainability and technology possibilities. Through this project the partners found the way to integrate variable sensors and special yarns into the knitted structure with an optimum and desirable way:
1. able to decode in multiple physical and emotional health evaluation measurements in Sports, Health and Wellness applications and
2. able to create special effects, such as lighting effects, by integrating special yarns.
The partners work on the integration of new materials and also in the scalability of the prototype.

Founded by Spiros Fragos with his partner Aliki Goritsa. Both studied textile engineering in Technological University of Piraeus in Athens_Greece and have a unique combination of knowledge and experience in knitting technology. PEPPER VALLY is a pioneer Designers company as it combines design, cutting/programming and knitting machines facilities in the same space.
