The message of the project

"Living Garment," inspired by creative communities, nature, and digital technology, is a responsible product line that blurs the lines between fashion, art, and merchandising to offer clothing that increases ecological consciousness. 

LIVING GARMENT

The idea behind the project 

Living Garment is a partnership between fashion designer Nhu Duong, curator Adriana Blidaru's digital platform Living Content, and Invictus, a Romanian family-run garment company. Nhu and Adriana, who grew up in the same creative environment, were joined by Invictus as collaborators to design innovative clothing using the factory's dead-stock materials as well as its expertise in the creation of national and security equipment.

This partnership, which is truly unique in the industry, enables them to be innovative in their supply chain. As a result, their brands' collaboration is multifaceted:

  • ‘Living Garment’  content creation: the digital curatorial platform includes interviews with contemporary artists, exhibition suggestions, and public events organised in conjunction with galleries and institutions.
  • Collaborative Artist's Editions: These limited editions are developed with expanded communities of artists, designers, and cultural producers and are distributed twice a year.
  • Living Garment: Through modular design, the core collection delivers upgraded merchandise and unisex clothing in physical and digital form, spanning fashion seasons.

What next?

"Living Garment" considers ecology to be avant-garde. They see the future in deep time: their foundation is a rippling field of creative and symbiotic collaborations; they grow by tending and supporting their communities; they use developing technologies to empower themselves; and they cultivate radical empathy for each other, themselves, and everything around them. Their product line is developed as a fresh way of thinking about how to better coexist in the world as a native digital brand.
