The message of the project
Luxury can be thoughtful. By giving new life to organic waste, the project challenges conventional notions of beauty and creates jewelry that tells a deeper story—one of transformation, connection, and respect for nature.
The idea behind the project
The initiative originated from a shared vision to reveal the hidden potential of discarded organic materials and transform them into meaningful, wearable pieces. Matter developed an innovative process to convert grape stalks—byproducts of wine production—into elegant, tactile surfaces.
Building on this material foundation, Vika Tonu designed an inclusive collection of timeless jewelry that celebrates the bond between humanity and nature, offering both aesthetic appeal and emotional significance.
What next?
The project aims to expand the range of waste materials used, strengthen local collaborations, and continue innovating in the realm of conscious luxury. Its long-term vision is to inspire a shift in how people perceive both waste and luxury—demonstrating that sustainability and artistry not only coexist but flourish together.
