The message of the project
Design for Cultural Collaboration with Series 1 represents the first BTC collaboration, bridging Studio Cumbre with different artisan communities from Latin America to create their first traditional handmade capsule collection. The DCC platform introduces a new B2B business model aimed at preserving cultural heritage and promoting transparency in the fashion industry. By connecting global brands with traditional artisan communities in Latin America, DCC fosters creative dialogues, practices fair trade, and generates products with a positive social impact. The platform offers brands transparency solutions, including supplier verification and product authentication for handmade goods across Europe.
The idea behind the project
Dcc Platform, aims to preserve cultural heritage, prevent cultural appropriation, and promote handmade products in the fashion industry by reinventing craftsmanship. The mission is to guide the industry towards a sustainable fashion ecosystem by merging tradition with innovation through cultural collaboration. DCC builds bridges that connect fashion, tradition, and technology, leading to a present with a positive impact.
What next?
DCC contributes to the New European Bauhaus Initiative by addressing its three pillars: sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusivity. The project tackles multiple sustainable goals by implementing sustainable practices, reimagining growth, engaging consumers, prioritising people, optimising material use, and embodying ethics through aesthetics.
DCC envisions bridging tradition and innovation through cultural collaboration.
