The message of the project
The new shopping trolley will be a driving force in local community shopping, a shift that has been witnessed across Europe during the epidemic and is expected to continue, according to studies.
The idea behind the project
Over the last 20 years, Turtle Bags has been campaigning against marine plastics and providing alternatives to plastic bags. They are honoured to be the topic of a UN case study on sustainable plastic alternatives, as well as a member of the UN Science Policy Business Partnership.
A shopping cart was introduced to the market a few years ago. The bag for their shopping trolley was manufactured from recycled cement bags by their partner, the Women's Empowerment Programme in Bangladesh. They offered the colourful shopping cart to their wholesale customers in the UK and worldwide. They understood, however, that they could improve on its attributes in five distinct ways: sustainability, aesthetics, ethical sourcing, inclusion, and practicality.
The creative approach will include extensive material study, circular design, and ethical sourcing. Turtle Bags and the Design Gang are ideal collaborators for this project; the Design Gang are masters of stunning utilitarian design. Turtle Bags brings to the cooperation commercial knowledge and many years of ethical experience. Design Gang will incorporate the ideals of the New Bauhaus and Turtle Bags into the design of the unique shopping cart. Gang will incorporate the ideals of the New Bauhaus and Turtle Bags into the design of the unique shopping trolley sign. Gang will incorporate the ideals of the New Bauhaus and Turtle Bags into the design of the unique shopping cart.
What next?
They are investigating how they can make their customers' lives simpler, as well as what changes can make it practical for the use of on and off public transportation.
