Responsibilities

Anna Szonyi is an award-winning multidisciplinary designer who has worked in Dubai and Bali and is currently based in Abu Dhabi. She works in various design and creative fields, including architecture, interior design, furniture design, product design, design management, and design curation. She is actively participating in various art and design platforms, collaborating with other designers, corporate firms, and brands while continuously pushing the limits of what's possible.

Responsibilities

Mark Terberg is an experienced international business developer with a broad network of partners and colleagues in the creative industry, high fashion, embassies, Dutch multinationals, non-governmental organisations, and government.

Mark served as a Business Developer at the Dutch Fashion Foundation, of which he is a co-founder, from 2002 to 2010, guiding creative businesses in the development and positioning of their brand in the international arena. He led trade delegations to worldwide commercial cities such as New York, Paris, Milan, London, Florence, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. This follows a career in consulting and as the director of The National Thinktank in the Netherlands.

Terberg is currently working as an adviser for Impact Management, specialising on creative entrepreneurship. Aside from that, he creates innovative business models and collaborations to support entrepreneurs achieve international success.

Responsibilities

Sebastian Thies, a 6th generation footwear professional since 1856, is the founder and designer of high-end sneaker brand nat-2™. Sebastian is also a creative director at various other projects and has worked with companies such as MCM, Wu-Tang, Sony, Paramount, Activision, Ritter Sport, Atelier PMP, Hasbro, Gabor, HBC, and Studio 100.

Sebastian has already won several international awards, such as the Red Dot Design Award, the German Brand Award, the Innovation x Design Award, and the IspoBrandnew Award. He was also nominated twice for Germany’s Designpreis and appointed as Kultur- x Kreativpiloten by the Federal Republic of Germany.

Sebastian’s designs have been showcased and included in design collections in internationally re-known exhibitions and museums such as the Grassi Museum Leipzig, Red Dot Museums Essen x Singapore, Kunsthaus Vienna, MKG Hamburg, Shoetopia Detroit, Cube Design Museum NL, Wilhelm Wagenfeld Stiftung Bremen, Virtual Shoe Museum, and Deutsches Museum.

nat-2™ is a pioneer in innovative, recycled, and sustainable high-end footwear and accessories using truly unique materials such as real stone, wood, milk, fish leather, coffee grounds, hayfields, tinder sponge, corn, cork, glass, woven aluminum, colour-changing uppers, olive-leather and many more.

Responsibilities

Marina Toeters works at the forefront of technology and fashion design. Her company, by-wire.net, encourages collaboration between the fashion industry and technology innovators in order to create a relevant fashion system and supporting clothes for everyday use. She advises Philips Research, Holst Centre, fashion designers, and others on product development through prototyping and a research through design approach. She develops thoughts and designs to show the world what fashion could be. Her goal is to make fashion more innovative by incorporating wearable technology, new materials, and unique manufacturing processes into the current fashion system.

She works for the fashion department at the University of the Arts Utrecht (HKU) and the industrial design faculty at Eindhoven University of Technology as a teacher, coach, and researcher. Marina edited the book Unfolding Fashion Tech: Pioneers of Bright Futures in 2019 and founded the Fashion Tech Farm in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, a studio, incubator, and small-scale production facility for innovative fashion.

Mo has been a designer for over 25 years and an expert in sustainable fashion. She has collaborated with several well-known international and luxury companies, as well as micro enterprises and artisanal producers, while also continuing to develop her own distinctive textile print based designs. She established Wise Birds Network to help the many small businesses included inside value chains to be sustainable in every meaning of the term. She frequently finds herself working with outstanding women company owners and producers in fashion, jewellery, and lifestyle.

She understands value chains and processes from the cotton field to the factory to the catwalk to the store. She is interested in the influence of the creation of the things we love. Mo enjoys matching skills and talent with markets. In addition to her work with Wise Birds Network, she consults on sector policy, teaches on entrepreneurship and sustainability in fashion, lifestyle, and jewellery.

Responsibilities

Roberto Vdović is an architect, educator, scientist, entrepreneur and president of FabLab in Zagreb, Croatia. Fablab aims to develop digital fabrication for a broad spectrum of industrial applications, including digital craftmanship in fields of creative industries. Roberto has an extensive experience in 3D printing as he is a pioneer in the implementation of desktop 3D printing in Croatia.

His range of activities and experiences covers education challenges and local community engagement through the implementation of new digital technologies merged with traditional techniques, craftmanship methodologies, and skills. Roberto is actively involved in both national and international networks of innovators and creatives, which leads him to build meaningful connections across Europe and particularly in the Balkan countries through his participation in several EU-funded initiatives including VULCA Initiative. As a teacher at Faculty of Architecture University of Zagreb, he is teaching students of architectural, urban and industrial design, 3D modeling, visualization and digital technologies

As part of FabLab activities, Roberto defined creative digital technology content for several national science and arts annual events and other local community events. Recently, as a local community representative, he is engaging different sectors of the City of Zagreb through the Fab City Global Initiative which offers a new urban model for locally productive and globally connected self-sufficient cities.

His mission is to bring new added value to crucial sectors of society such as education, local community, and entrepreneurship through the use of disruptive technologies by connecting people to foster creativity and innovation.

Maria Vytinidou, Chemist-Designer-Fashion Entrepreneur, distinguished by VOGUE ITALIA for her entrepreneurship, started her career as a Marketing executive at a multinational company and continued as a Fashion Designer by creating Innovative Wearable Technology and Ready-to-wear Luxury Collections with the label ‘Μaria Vytinidou Luxury Design Brand’.

Being a graduate of Central St Martin’s College of Arts & Design and London College of Fashion she had also the skills to become the founder of AthensFashionclub,a leading school in Fashion & Business, and the 1rst Athens Fashion Business Incubator ‘The Fashion Gate’.

She presented with success for the first time the Wearable Technology collections at the international conference “Nanotexnology 2013” by incorporating high technology materials in the garments, such as leds, flexible solars, el-wires and optical fibers.

In 2013 she established her company as one of the best 20 High Fashion Technology companies in the world after participating at the business accelerator Contest Startupbootcamp High Tech XL in Eindhoven of Holland, while 2 years later in 2015 the international exhibition Fair ‘Premiere Vision’ announced her as one of the most Innovative Fashion Designers in Wearable Technology.

She is an official member of the Orange Grove Accelerator of the Dutch Embassy in Greece and also jury of the New Designers Award Contest at AXDW.

The designer created ‘The Fashion Gate’ Fashion Incubator in 2016 by providing business growth, consulting and mentoring to emerging designers and fashion startups, which ended with success for the first year for 12 Fashion brands that participated at Styl Kabo International Trade Fair.

She has given plenty of talks, presentations and pitches for Fashion & Business and she has also presented her collections many times at Athens Fashion Week, TV Channels, published press, magazines and newspapers.

In October 2017, she was the Project Leader of the longest fashion show in AXDW by presenting 112 garmants, made by the students of her Fashion School.

Experienced Consultant with a successful track record in the startup ecosystem. Strong professional with experience in Strategy, Marketing and Communication, Digital Strategy, E-commerce, Integrated Marketing and Advertising, BtoB and BtoC, with a focus on the Fashion industry.

Silvia Zancarli holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a focus on Strategy and Marketing. She spent several years working in communication and media agencies, eventually rising to the position of Strategy Director. She was the course leader for the BAH Fashion Marketing and Communication at IED (Milan) for 7 years, which was validated by the University of Westminster. She is a business consultant and crowdfunding expert who has worked with Ulule, Europe's largest reward-based crowdfunding platform. She mentors many start-ups as part of the Wearsustain, STARTS, Worth, and ELIIT Networks, and has joined SUPSI (a university in Lugano, Switzerland) as Course Leader for the MAS in Fashion Innovation. She is presently an EIT Manufacturing Business Creation Manager.
