  • Investor, Business Adviser and Mentor at Primainvest Capital Management

Florin Pop

Responsibilities

Investor, business consultant, and mentor, with a portfolio of over 500 businesses, projects, and teams advised and developed during his career. Florin has over 20 years of experience in the investing and business consulting industries. He has a wide range of specialisations and experiences in capital markets, financial analysis, business consulting, project management, startup consulting, and has worked for some well-known companies and institutions such as IFB Finwest, Banca Transilvania, ADR Nord-Vest, and Babeş-Bolyai University.

He is the founder and partner of Primainvest Capital Management, an investment, asset management, and business consulting firm. Florin is an investor and board advisor in several high-growth startups, including Telios Care, Bookr, AiVA, ThinkOut, Nifty Learning, Cartloop, Easy Sales, Cyscale, SanoPasso, and StageMe.

Florin is also a member of the Transylvania Angels Network, a local angel investor organisation, as well as a member of Growceanu and an advisor to ClujHub and ROTSA. He actively supports the angel investment ecosystem and companies by participating as a juror or mentor in hackathons and incubation programmes like FIX Cluj, Innovations Labs, EduTech, SAS, ASMA, ESU, EIT, and Startup Weekend for Women.

Robin Good, a recently founded startup studio with key ecosystem partners, is his most recent challenge.

Luca Rizzi

Responsibilities

Luca, a Biomedical Engineer from the Polytechnic of Milan, works at the CETMA Research Centre on design and product development, mostly for the medical industry. He has worked in various fields, including product design, risk analysis, and technical documentation management for CE marking. Co-founder and CEO of the start-up BabyLikesTravel, which strives to fulfil families' needs for lighter luggage when travelling by providing a smart rental and delivery service.

He is passionate about design, ICT, and 3D printing technologies. He teaches Innovative Technology at the ISIA School of Design in Rome and at the CREA Summer Academy, where he guides the creative processes of young designers and entrepreneurs. He is inspired by the maker movement and enjoys inventing toys for his two young daughters.

Ana Roncha

Responsibilities

Ana is a strategic thinker with expertise working with established international fashion and lifestyle brands, start-up communities, academia, media, and international organisations. She is a well-known scholar with over two decades of experience in strategic fashion marketing and fashion brand development in a global context.

She has a PhD in Fashion Design and Marketing Management, as well as previous degrees in Communication with a Fashion focus. Anna  spent over ten years at the London College of Fashion, where she directed the flagship Masters in Strategic Fashion Marketing and lectured in Business Strategy, Luxury Branding and Leadership, Digital Marketing and Innovation, and Sustainability Strategy. She was in charge of a staff of full-time and part-time tutors, industry guests, and industry projects with key international players.

Ana has worked on projects for the World Economic Forum and Accenture on the Future of Retail, Business Model Innovation, and the Impact of Technology and Changing Consumer Demand in the Fashion and Lifestyle industries.

She is a Visiting Professor at ESCP Europe and Porto Business School, among others.

Ana is a Senior Fellow of the HEA and a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Enterprise and Innovation. Her research has been published in academic publications and presented at conferences throughout the world.

She has worked on EU-funded initiatives, creating impact evaluation reports in collaboration with renowned fashion business institutions.

Co-author of "Fashion Management: A Strategic Approach" and the Case Centre's best-selling case study on Ethics and Social Responsibility for 2018 and 2019. Regular contributor to industry and media publications about the fashion industry.

Helga Sigur-bjarnadóttir

Responsibilities

Helga Sigurbjarnadóttir obtained her RSP Master degree from IED Milano in 2008 and has been working as an Interior Architect in her own firm, Helga Sig since 2009.

In 2010 she won a competition for the iconic Harpa Music Hall in Iceland by designing furniture concepts for all open areas within the Music and Conference Centre.Helga has led the design on a variety of projects throughout the years, including hotels, restaurants, residences, offices, and dentistry clinics. In fact, she was one of the two major designers for the Skuggi Hotel, which is located in the heart of Reykjavik. In 2009 she even designed a wall hook, STONE, which has been in production ever since by the Danish design company Normann Copenhagen.

Raija Siikamaki

Responsibilities

Raija Siikamäki's work combines design and business thinking. She is the CEO of Formconcrete Ltd., a startup founded on Finnish design innovation. Her previous employers include Fiskars Group, where she served as Global Product Manager and Product Development Manager, and the University of Art and Design Helsinki, now Aalto University, where she worked as a research project lead as well as a lecturer, supervisor, and evaluator.She earned her doctorate in 2006 from the University of Art and Design with a dissertation on product lifecycle management and product development processes using recycled materials, and her MBA in 2007 from Kingston University London with a thesis researching strategies of UK design companies committed to sustainability. Raija has large experience in implementing life cycle analysis (LCA) across a broad range of industries and processes, including lifestyle industries, and has experience in work plans that lead to decreasing the carbon footprint of the industries at both a strategic and operational level.

Koen Snoeckx

Operating as a freelance entrepreneur since 2016, Koen Snoeckx calls himself Collision Maker: facilitating impactful interactions between specialists from various realms of expertise. At this moment, he acts as a part-time innovation manager in Geel (B), activating the local ecosystem and increasing the attractiveness for additional stakeholders to establish themselves. Also, as owner/director of Arteconomy, he offers lectures and workshops to stimulate the uptake of artistic practices in companies and non-cultural organizations. It is Arteconomy’s vision that this is essential to staying relevant and resilient in contexts of sustainability and uncertainty. As part of his pro-deo activity, Koen is the founder and member of the creative hub Moktamee in his hometown of Herentals (B). Moktamee offers over 30 artists, makers and entrepreneurs studios and workplaces to create and interact.

Graduated with a Master in Biochemistry, with a post-Master in Journalism, and a teacher’s degree, Koen worked the majority of his career in the communications departments of high-tech research centers. First at IMEC in Leuven (B), later at the Holst Center in Eindhoven (NL), where - as a member of the MT - he headed the communications department. Between 2014 and 2017, Koen was Director of Baltan Laboratories (a cultural laboratory in Eindhoven), co-founder of Creative Lab Brainport (a collaboration initiative between SMEs and educational institutes), Chairman-Director of Creative Ring (international non-for-profit for creative ecosystems), and founder of the local branch of Creative Ring Eindhoven. He was also involved in a cultural startup and an award-winning restaurant business.

Docent Dr Danka Sokolovic Milojkovic, a leading author of the Cluster House Model for cluster-based economic development and start-ups in the Balkans. Coordinator of the biggest cluster collaboration platform in the Balkan and Black Sea Region BBS ClusNet. Director of the Cluster House based in Nis, Southern Serbia since 2011. Member of the Global TCI Network Board of Directors responsible for cluster development in the SEE since 2014. Founder and co-chairman of the world famous brand name “DAYS OF CLUSTERS” conference gathering over 1500 economic development experts from 33 countries from 5 continents in the Balkans since 2010. Author and editor of the unique magazine for Balkan clusters named INFOCLUSTER.

Specialized in the local economic development at the ITC/ILO Torino and cluster development at the Danish Cluster Academy RegX in the framework of the Danish LEDIB Programme (2007-2012). Lecturer, coach and mentor in the field of strategic management and entrepreneurship, project management, international affairs and networking, marketing and promotion and cluster development.

Ubaldo Spina

Researcher, industrial designer, and BDM at CETMA (www.cetma.it), where he works dealing with design research projects and design and innovation management services. Consultant for many startups, SMEs, and large enterprises, focusing on the management of new product development processes and the supply of advanced services in conceptual and strategic design, engineering, prototyping, and IP protection. He had several international experiences in the main student and work exchange programs, Erasmus, Grundtvig, Relate, EID, and projects carried out within the community programs Interreg, IPA, Framework Programs, RTD, and Horizon. On behalf of the Joint Research Center of the European Commission, he co-edited the report "Innovation Ecosystems in the Creative Sector: The Case of Additive Manufacturing and Advanced Materials for Design." EU expert in research of "Emerging Technologies for Design" and mentor of the WORTH Partnership Project since the first call, he is a member of the “Research for the Enterprise” Commission of ADI - Association for Industrial Design. His working group has received several ADI Design Index awards, including the Honorable Mention Compasso d'Oro ADI in 2011 and 2016. Teacher within the Master educational activities of “Il Sole 24 Ore”, he coordinates the Design page of “Il Giornale dell’Architettura” as well as the journalistic columns “SOS Design” (Design for Emergencies), “Design&Startup” and “Professione Designer”.
