NEW COVID-19 INDUSTRIAL CLUSTERS RESPONSE PORTAL

The European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP), launched the THE COVID-19 INDUSTRIAL CLUSTERS RESPONSE PORTAL, to support the efforts of industrial clusters to address the challenges posed in Europe by the COVID-19 pandemic. The portal facilitates the interaction of the industrial cluster community to allow fast and direct responses within the community itself too.

Its objective is two-fold:

1. Serve as a one-stop shop where reliable information for industry, and especially industrial clusters, can be found on actions and decisions of the European Commission and the EU Member States impacting on the functioning of the Internal Market.
2. Support an open discussion forum where actors can share their experiences, solutions, requests and questions.

All industry actors are welcome to channel their information, requests, and solutions in the open forum of the portal. Over 1100 offers from companies for medical supply such as masks and ventilators were already channelled to the European Commission via clusters with the support from the European Clusters Alliance. On Monday 30 March 2020 the COVID-19 forum will be launched on this website, as an open discussion space to increase the quick, easy exchange between the cluster actors (access based on a simple user account on the ECCP).
