FOLD UN FOLD

FOLD UN FOLD reimagines folding as a dynamic process, from paper to furniture and garments, inspired by Japanese design principles and aiming for a sustainable future.

FOLD UN FOLD

The message of the project:

The design platform FOLD UN FOLD is an attempt to explore the sense of space and visualize our daily rituals, behaviour, and the relationship between subject and object through questioning our attitude to life. Daring that these continuous series of rituals create a HOMESCAPE, as continuous woven experiences in knitted time.

The idea behind the project:

By transposing paper and textile models to larger scale spatial settings made by furniture, clothing, and objects, the final designs are not final; they transform and dialogue in an evolving user experience of the simple ritual gestures that make a space into a home. FOLD UN FOLD aims to facilitate a more conscious way of life by requiring interaction from the user, not framed by walls but opened up by bodily experience.
