The message of the project
Tempore presents a collection of durable, timeless, and easy-to-assemble designs manufactured using CNC technology. Laser pre-drilled panels are mounted onto these structures, allowing artisans to embroider and experiment with materials, transparencies, and techniques. When clients wish to alter the space’s aesthetics, panels can be swapped, remade, or exchanged between clients, encouraging dynamic, temporary exhibitions.
The idea behind the project
Tempore originates from the desire to find an alternative to the current consumption model and to give value to craftsmanship that cannot keep pace with rapid production cycles, such as hand embroidery. Time is a fundamental element of artisan work, yet it is often overlooked. By appreciating the time and skill invested, Tempore aims to create a sustainable future that respects cultural heritage and merges it with contemporary design and digitalisation.
What next?
Tempore strives to create furniture that promotes a more sustainable way of valuing objects by adapting to modern needs without necessitating new purchases. This approach minimises mass production and fosters a circular economy that benefits both the artisan and the customer. The goal is to establish a network for creating and exchanging handcrafted pieces, showcasing embroiderers’ work in a nomadic manner, and enabling clients to enjoy ever-evolving interior atmospheres.
